2026 Shanghai Riverside Urban Exploration Hike (2026一江一河·海派城市考古徒步)

On October 31, 2026, the "One River One Bund - Shanghai Urban Exploration Walk" invites participants to explore the vibrant cityscape of Shanghai along its historic waterways and bustling streets. The event kicks off at 8:30 AM from the Shanghai Digital Tourism Center with two routes available: an A-line covering 18KM and a B-line stretching for 36KM. Both courses wind through iconic waterfront areas, charming urban neighborhoods, and historical districts, offering unique perspectives on the city's rich heritage.
The shorter route is ideal for those with some fitness experience who seek to immerse themselves in long-distance walking without pushing physical limits too far. Meanwhile, the longer B-line challenges seasoned walkers looking for a more rigorous test of endurance. Participants will receive timed wristbands and electronic certificates upon completion, as well as beautifully designed commemorative medals.
Registration opens early enough to secure your spot at an early bird discount before October 26th, with spaces limited on a first-come-first-served basis. All finishers are also eligible for exciting raffle prizes awaiting them back at the event's conclusion.
The day promises not only physical challenges but also cultural immersion and scenic delights as you traverse through Shanghai’s dynamic urban landscape.
