The PLZ category, on the other hand, accommodates younger participants from ages 5 to 14 alongside their guardians for a family-friendly experience over a distance of 3 kilometers with an elevation gain of 305 meters.
The Stone Elder Sightseeing Garden is renowned among local trail runners and families alike as one of Qingdao's premier off-road running venues. Its natural landscape, characterized by winding bamboo trails, layered stone steps, and mountain paths, provides the perfect backdrop for this event. The course has been meticulously planned to balance challenge with safety, ensuring that young competitors face a manageable yet rewarding test.
Participants in the CFZ category will earn International Trail Running Association (ITRA) points upon completion of their race, adding an extra layer of recognition to their achievement. This certification underscores the competitive nature and physical demands of this event while maintaining strict adherence to youth-oriented safety standards.
The venue's popularity extends beyond just racing days; it is a regular training ground for dedicated trail runners and sees steady weekend traffic from families seeking outdoor adventure. The unique blend of natural beauty, challenging terrain, and supportive community atmosphere makes the Qitian Little Warriors Mountain Challenge Autumn Edition an unforgettable experience for young athletes looking to push their limits in a nurturing environment.
