2026 Qingyuan Gugdao Trail Run (2026有风·乾隆古道越野跑)

On November 15, 2026, the Yixing Qingtian Sacred Land Scenic Area will host the Wind-Blown Qianlong Ancient Path Trail Run. This challenging race offers two routes: an Experience Group of approximately 8.22 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 535 meters and a Challenge Group covering about 19.53 kilometers, boasting a cumulative ascent of 1,104 meters.
The Experience route begins at 8:00 AM, featuring scenic trails through the heart of Yixing's lush bamboo forests and historic sites like the Glass Walkway on Qianlong Ancient Path. Runners will traverse paths that wind past Tianhuang Mountain and other notable landmarks while enjoying a mix of forested terrain, wooden boardwalks, and rustic stone steps.
The Challenge route kicks off simultaneously with similar stunning vistas but extends further into more rugged landscapes, connecting the scenic Xi Chuanling Ridge to the ancient Tea Classic Path. Participants will encounter varied terrains including steep climbs, winding mountain trails, and serene valleys, offering a true test of endurance and agility amidst nature's grandeur.
Both routes provide an immersive experience in Yixing’s unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, allowing runners to explore charming villages, historic sites, and pristine bamboo groves. The event promises breathtaking views at every turn, making it not just a race but a journey through the heart of Yangxian's picturesque countryside.
