About the Event

The third stop of the 2026 Nanjing Vitality Fashion Run Series starts at 9:30 on October 17 at the Zhonghua Gate Barbican in Nanjing. It offers a 10 km speed category and a 6 km leisure parent-child category for one adult and one child, with the field capped at 900 runners and places filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The series is a city-level event brand run with the Nanjing Sports Bureau, built around four seasonal races that tie together the city's mountains, waters, walls and forests. This stage is themed around the city wall. Zhonghua Gate, called Jubao Gate in the Ming dynasty, is the largest surviving barbican in China, with three nested enclosures and four arched gateways, and it once served as the main southern gate of Nanjing. Runners get six hundred years of brick underfoot, with the Qinhuai River and the Laomendong district alongside. The race falls on the day before the Double Ninth Festival, a holiday traditionally marked by climbing to high ground.
