2026 Lao-China Friendship (Vientiane) International Half Marathon

On November 15, 2026, runners from around the globe will gather in Vientiane, Laos for the Lao-China Friendship (Vientiane) International Half Marathon. This special edition celebrates 65 years of diplomatic relations between Laos and China and marks five years since the opening of the China-Laos Railway.
Set against the backdrop of the Saysettha Special Economic Zone, participants will experience a blend of scenic beauty and cultural richness as they run through Vientiane’s vibrant streets and parks. The race offers three distances: 19.61 kilometers for those seeking a challenging half marathon course, 10.35 kilometers for an invigorating mini-marathon, and a family-friendly 5-kilometer fun run.
The event's theme, "Running Lancang-Mekong, Friendship Together," underscores the spirit of unity between nations through sport and cultural exchange.
