2026 Lake Spivey Road Race

About the Event

The Lake Spivey Road Race offers runners and walkers two distinct challenges within the scenic setting of Clayton County, Georgia. Participants can choose between a shorter but still invigorating 5K race or an extended journey through rolling neighborhoods with the longer 15K option.
Both races kick off at Clayton County International Park in Lake Spivey, where all participants will register and park their vehicles at the nearby Lake Spivey Recreation Center. The event features state-of-the-art timing technology from MyLaps B-Tag to ensure accurate results for every competitor.
The 15K route takes runners on a clockwise loop around Lake Spivey and Lake Jodeco, weaving through charming residential streets that offer glimpses of local life in the area. Meanwhile, the 5K course branches off into the serene subdivisions surrounding the Lake Spivey Country Club before returning via Walt Stephens Road.
All participants will receive an official race shirt upon registration, though early sign-up is recommended to guarantee a t-shirt as supplies are limited for those registering after September 19th, 2026. Age group awards and overall Masters winners in specific age categories (ranging from 15-21 years up to 66+ years) will be recognized at the event.
The race day schedule sees the 15K starting promptly at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K beginning just half an hour later. Both races conclude back in Clayton County International Park where runners can enjoy post-race refreshments and celebrate their achievements.
