2026 Abilene Turkey Trot Benefitting the West Texas Rehab

Abilene Turkey Trot winds through the Lytle neighborhood in Abilene, Texas.  It is a great race for a fun time with family and friends.  Proceeds benefit the West Texas Rehab Center and the Abilene Runners Club. Along with the 5K, there is also a 1-mile fun-run for kids.  Our motto is "Walk/run 3.1 miles and eat guilt free the rest of the day!"  See you on Thanksgiving morning!

Early Registration will be thru Midnight, Sunday on 11- 06-26.  Shirts not guaranteed after this date.  The course is a 5K route through Lytle Lake neighborhood.  The race begins and ends outside Shotwell Stadium.  When arriving, the road will be blocked to thru traffic.  Entry will be available from the North side  (Hwy 36 / ES 11th Street) where parking is available on the North and West side of Shotwell Stadium.  Race cancellation due to inclement weather is at the discretion of the Race Director and the Abilene Runners Club.  No refunds will be available for cancellation of event.

Finishers medals will be given to everyone who completes the course.

$25 per person

$17 per person for the 1 mile kids fun-run (ages 0-12)

PACKET PICK UP and LATE REGISTRATION:

Wednesday, 11-25-26 from NOON-6:00PM at Abilene Running Company, 2654 Industrial Blvd, Abilene, Texas 79605.

NO Race Day packet pick-up and late registration . We will not turn anyone away that wants to register to run /walk the race.  Race shirts/bibs not claimed by the start of the race can be picked up the following week at Abilene Running Co.

5K starts at 8:00 sharp  -  no exceptions!

1 mile kids -fun-run begins at 9:00am

RACE DAY REMINDERS:

Please place your bib on the front, outside of your clothing.  Do not put anything over your bib as this could impede the timing equipment from detecting your chip.

Please arrive prior to 8:00am to ensure you can be at the starting line in plenty of time.  Pre-race ceremony usually begins between 7:45am-8:00am.

This is West Texas so be prepared for any type of weather.

The Expo Center parking lot is locked at 10:30am.  If you park in the Expo Center parking lot please be sure and DO NOT leave your vehicle after the race is completed.  We ask that you please do not park in the Expo Center parking lot.  We highly encourage everyone to use the Shotwell Stadium parking.

Again, no refunds will be available if the race has to be cancelled.
