On December 27, 2026, the inaugural Corrida Clínica Laços Vivos will take place in Olinda-PE, offering runners three distinct distances: 3 km, 6 km, and a symbolic 12 km route. The race begins at the heart of Casa Caiada, where participants gather in front of Clínica Laços Vivos on Rua Carlos Pessoa Monteiro to run through scenic streets that weave around historic landmarks. This event is more than just a competition; it's an emotional and supportive gathering for those who face mental health challenges daily. The race aims to raise awareness about conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, and other mental illnesses, emphasizing the strength of individuals and communities in overcoming these obstacles. Participants will experience Olinda’s vibrant atmosphere while contributing to a vital social cause by donating one kilogram of non-perishable food upon registration. The collected items go directly towards supporting underprivileged neighborhoods within the municipality. The race is open to all genders and ages, ensuring that everyone can join this meaningful event regardless of their athletic background or experience level. Runners are encouraged to embrace the spirit of solidarity and resilience as they move through the city’s winding streets, reflecting on personal triumphs amidst a backdrop rich in history and culture.
