1ª CORRIDA CIDADÃ

On February 21, 2027, the Rotary Club Contagem das Gerais invites runners and walkers to participate in the inaugural Cidadã Street Race at Praça da Jabuticaba in Contagem/MG. The race features a competitive 5 km run open to all genders with participants aged 14 years or older by event day, while also offering a non-competitive 2 km walk for those looking for a more leisurely experience.
Registration opens on September 21, 2026, and closes either when the available slots are filled or on February 15, 2027. Participants in the 5 km race must donate one liter of milk upon registration to support local community initiatives. The event begins with a morning opening at 7:00 AM, followed by the start of both races and walks at 8:00 AM.
The scenic route through Contagem offers runners an engaging urban course that highlights the city’s vibrant atmosphere while promoting health and social responsibility. With competitive timing for the race and a supportive environment for walkers, this event promises to be an enjoyable day out with friends or family in support of meaningful community causes.
Participants can choose from three registration periods: R$80 until October 5, 2026; R$90 until October 26, 2026; and R$100 until November 4, 2026. For those aged between 14 to 17 years, a legal guardian's written authorization is required at the time of registration.
