The Corrida Unimed Fortaleza, entering its 19th edition on October 18, 2026, has firmly established itself as one of the premier sporting events in Ceará's capital. More than just a race, it celebrates health, well-being, and quality of life with an atmosphere that caters to both seasoned runners and newcomers alike. The event takes place at the Iguatemi Bosque Shopping parking lot on Av. Sebastião de Abreu. Participants can choose from three distances: 5 km, 10 km, and a half marathon (21 km). Largada times are set for 5:15 AM for the 21k runners, followed by the 10k at 5:25 AM and the 5k starting at 5:35 AM. The race offers specific categories to recognize all athlete profiles that inspire a healthy lifestyle in Fortaleza. All participants receive a participation medal upon crossing the finish line, while top competitors in both general and medical (exclusive for Unimed cooperators) categories earn trophies. Detailed information on prize values and age category breakdowns can be found in the event's official regulations. Unique perks are available to Unimed Fortaleza cooperatives, employees, and clients who enjoy a R$10 discount per registration when they provide their details during sign-up. Race kits include essential items for an optimal experience. The basic kit features a high-tech t-shirt, race bag, timing chip bib number, and finisher medal. For those seeking extra memorabilia, the premium package adds a special edition 300-year Fortaleza towel to commemorate this historic milestone.
