About the Event

The 1925 Eagle Foundation Turkey Trot 5K is an annual tradition that brings runners of all ages and abilities together for a festive run through the heart of downtown. This race, benefiting the 1925 Eagle Foundation Scholarship, offers participants not only a chance to challenge themselves physically but also to support education initiatives within their community.
As you lace up your running shoes, expect to be greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with enthusiastic volunteers and supporters cheering from every corner. The course is designed to showcase some of the most picturesque areas in town, winding through historic streets lined with colorful autumn foliage during November's crisp air.
The race begins at 8:00 AM sharp on Thanksgiving morning, allowing runners to take part before gathering around the dinner table for a traditional feast. With its flat and fast route, this 5K is ideal for those looking to set personal records or simply enjoy a leisurely jog with friends and family.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants are treated to refreshments and can pick up their commemorative race t-shirts while they soak in the celebratory mood that permeates throughout the event. The Turkey Trot not only promotes health and wellness but also strengthens community bonds by fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
Join us for a memorable morning of running followed by the warmth of Thanksgiving Day festivities, all while contributing to scholarships that help local students pursue their dreams of higher education.
