Bridge2Bridge Danville 2027 - Annual 5K Run, 10K Run, Half Marathon, Kids Fun Run, & Virtual Options April 10th, 2027 in Danville, Virginia, United States. This beloved race is organized by the Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association, Visit SoSi, The Danville Running and Fitness Club, and Danville Parks & Recreation. The event has been a cornerstone of community spirit since its inception back in 2011.
Race day on April 10th will find runners navigating through the vibrant streets of historic downtown Danville under a bright spring sky. As dawn breaks over the city, you'll notice the gentle warmth of early morning light casting a golden hue across the landscape. The community buzzes with energy as locals and visitors alike come together to support this meaningful event. With vendors and participants mingling along Main Street, it's clear that Bridge2Bridge has become an integral part of Danville’s annual calendar.
The 18th Annual BRIDGE2BRIDGE is steeped in tradition and purpose, having raised over $1,140,000 to date for cancer patients within the region. In 2025 alone, more than a thousand individuals participated, making it one of Danville’s largest community gatherings. The race features five kilometers, ten-kilometer runs, half marathons, and even virtual options that cater to every runner's pace and preference.
Course & Conditions The course weaves through the charming streets of downtown Danville, offering a mix of firm and slightly soft surfaces. Runners will follow a hilly route with some challenging climbs but also enjoy scenic flat stretches along historic buildings. Aid stations are strategically placed throughout the race to ensure you have plenty of water and refreshments.
Start at Danville Community Market marks the beginning of this community event, where participants can pick up their bibs before heading out on the course. Elevation varies with a few notable inclines but overall remains manageable for all skill levels. Special features like the finish line celebration add to the joyous atmosphere as runners cross the line.

Logistics Register online through RunSignup at https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/Danville/Bridge2BridgeDanville by March 31st, 2027. Fees vary: $75 for half marathon participants and $35 for all other distances including virtual options. Bib pickup is on race day from 8 AM to 9 AM at the Danville Community Market.
The start location is Danville Community Market where you'll find your assigned bib number, timing chip, and any additional information needed. Participants must be aged 14 or older to run in this event; younger runners can participate in the Kids Fun Run with a parent's supervision. First-timers are welcome—just arrive early for last-minute tips and encouragement.
