16th Annual Abbeville Rotary Club Reindeer Run

Abbeville Rotary Club Reindeer Run in Abbeville, South Carolina on December 13th marks its 16th year as a beloved local event supporting the Angel Tree Bike Fund. This five-kilometer race begins at Abbeville First Bank and winds through Downtown Abbeville's vibrant community spaces before looping back around the Library. On that chilly morning in early December, runners and walkers can expect clear skies and temperatures ranging from 3 to 13 degrees Celsius, creating an invigorating atmosphere under overcast conditions. With a typical wind speed of around ten miles per hour, runners should prepare for brisk conditions but should still find the route's firm yet slightly soft surface comfortable as it takes them through Abbeville’s bustling heart.

Course details begin with the 1 Mile Fun Run, which offers an enjoyable and family-friendly experience. Participants in this event will walk or run a loop starting at Burt-Stark Park before returning to their starting point. For those aiming for a more substantial challenge, the five-kilometer race follows closely behind, running from Abbeville First Bank through Court Square up North Main Street and back around the Library.
