Join us for an exciting Saturday session designed specifically for young riders aged 10-16 who are looking to improve their skills and enjoy the sport of cycling together. The event kicks off at 11am and runs until 1pm, offering a perfect blend of energy-packed riding sessions followed by a brief break around midday. The first hour is dedicated to dynamic group rides that cater to intermediate cyclists, providing an opportunity for participants to enhance their abilities in a supportive environment. Younger riders are also welcome if they demonstrate the necessary skill level and fitness to participate safely alongside peers who have more experience on two wheels. Participants should come prepared with water bottles and snacks to keep hydrated and energized throughout the session. While drop-in payments are accepted, booking ahead online ensures your spot in advance and helps us manage attendance efficiently. The registration window closes at 10pm on Fridays so that we can finalize participant lists for the upcoming Saturday event. If you're a member of HHYCC (Highland Hills Youth Cycling Club), don’t forget to take advantage of the £2 discount available when booking your spot online. Our club relies heavily on volunteers, and there are many ways to get involved whether it's assisting with registration duties, helping out in our bike maintenance area, or contributing as a coach during sessions. Come join us for an afternoon filled with fun, camaraderie, and the chance to develop your cycling skills under expert guidance. We look forward to seeing you at the event!

About Southwark
Learn more about the host city, Southwark.
Southwark is a district of Central London situated on the south bank of the River Thames, forming the north-western part of the wider modern London Borough of Southwark. The district, which is the oldest part of South London, developed due to its position at the southern end of the early versions of London Bridge, for centuries the only dry crossing on the river. Around 43 AD, engineers of the Roman Empire found the geographic features of the south bank here suitable for the placement and construction of the first bridge.
