About the event
Join us for an exciting beginner-friendly cycling session designed specifically for young riders aged 6-9 on June 12, 2027. While older kids are welcome too if they're just starting out with off-road biking, this hour-long event is tailored to those new to the sport. Participants should arrive 10 minutes early to ensure a prompt start and can take advantage of bike rentals for an additional fee.
Parents of children under 8 years old must remain on-site during the session. If your child is already a member of HHYCC, they will receive a £2 discount per session as part of our club benefits. Our sessions are not only about cycling but also fostering community spirit and volunteerism. We encourage parents to get involved by helping out with registration, bike maintenance, or coaching.
This event promises an engaging introduction to off-road biking in a supportive environment, perfect for budding cyclists looking to explore the joys of riding on natural terrain.

About Southwark
Learn more about the host city, Southwark.
Southwark is a district of Central London situated on the south bank of the River Thames, forming the north-western part of the wider modern London Borough of Southwark. The district, which is the oldest part of South London, developed due to its position at the southern end of the early versions of London Bridge, for centuries the only dry crossing on the river. Around 43 AD, engineers of the Roman Empire found the geographic features of the south bank here suitable for the placement and construction of the first bridge.
