Resolution Runs

On January 31, 2027, Builth & District Running Club presents two exciting races at the Royal Welsh Showground: the Resolution Run Road 5K and the Trail 10K. The 5K route offers a flat course within the showground's facilities, ideal for setting personal best times or enjoying an early-year fitness challenge. For those seeking adventure, the new Trail 10K winds through fields, woodland trails, and forest tracks beyond the main ring, with unpredictable terrain that may include mud and water depending on winter conditions.
Registration opens at 9:30 am, allowing runners to collect their numbers and warm up before the race starts promptly at 11:00 am. The event features chip timing for accurate results posted online shortly after completion. Participants must bring trail shoes for the Trail 10K due to muddy sections and limited changing facilities.
Parking is available on hard standing, with toilets and refreshments provided onsite. Entry fees are £12 (UKA affiliated) or £14 (non-affiliated) in advance; on-the-day entries cost an additional £2. Advance registration closes at 8 pm on January 29th to ensure a spot.
Join the Resolution Run for a memorable start to your racing season, whether you're chasing personal records or embracing winter's challenges off-road.
