About the event
Now in its 7th edition, this 21 km New Year run starts at Hakozaki Shrine in Higashi Ward, Fukuoka, and visits 10 shrines across the city before ending at the Fukunoyu Sawara hot spring. Visiting all of them completes the 10-shrine pilgrimage, and runners can then relax in the hot spring at the finish. It blends New Year prayers, a long run, a bath and food.
Start times are 8:00 and 9:00, each with a maranikku-only option or an option that includes a bathing ticket.
