The Maer 10km & Half Marathon

On October 10, 2027, runners will gather at Sidshore on the east coast of Devon to take part in The Maer 10km & Half Marathon. This scenic race offers breathtaking coastal views and a challenging course that winds through Exmouth before heading out along disused trainlines and rugged cliff paths.
The event features two routes: the 10km Challenge, which loops back from the coast path for an exhilarating downhill stretch to the Geoneedle, and the Half Marathon Challenge, known for its steep climb of nearly 1000ft over spectacular coastal terrain. Both races start and finish in Exmouth, with runners sharing the initial 5km before diverging.
The race atmosphere is electric as participants line up at Sidshore, ready to tackle either route. The course records stand testament to the challenge: Oliver Wall's impressive 37:08 for the men’s 10km and Katy Yardley's strong performance in the half marathon with a time of 01:39:21.
