TAUT - Terras Do Ancião Ultra Trail

In February 2027, Terras do Ancião Ultra Trail (TAUT) will celebrate its 13th edition by hosting the One Hundred Endurance Trail World Championship — an unparalleled global competition dedicated to ultra-distance trail running. The event spans three days in the heart of central Portugal's Ansião region, transforming this picturesque area into a world-class venue for endurance athletes.
Runners can choose from seven challenging distances: 500 kilometers, 150 miles, 100 miles, 100 kilometers, 62 kilometers, 35 kilometers, and two shorter options of 20 kilometers and 13 kilometers. Each route offers a unique journey through the "Stone Territories" that characterize this historic region.
The terrain is both breathtaking and demanding, featuring rugged trails winding through ancient landscapes steeped in history and culture. Participants will traverse scenic paths lined with stone walls, rolling hills, and lush forests, immersing themselves in the rich heritage of Sicó while pushing their physical limits.
Beyond its competitive edge, TAUT 2027 is a celebration of nature, emotion, and identity. It’s more than just an endurance challenge; it's a profound experience that connects runners with the enduring spirit of the land they traverse. Each step taken across these rugged trails not only tests one's physical capabilities but also honors the resilience and strength embedded in the local culture.
TAUT 2027 invites athletes from around the globe to "Run the Stones" and qualify for glory, making it a must-attend event for trail runners seeking an unparalleled blend of challenge and cultural immersion.
