1st Yao CHALLENGE RACE (第1回 八尾CHALLENGE RACE)

Kyuhoji Ryokuchi is one of the four major green spaces of Osaka, alongside Hattori Ryokuchi, Tsurumi Ryokuchi and Oizumi Ryokuchi, and is about ten times the size of Koshien Stadium. It is made up of the east, middle and north areas, and the bridges linking them are the hardest part of the course. The running course in the north area is laid with wood chips that are easy on the knees and runs through a tunnel of greenery.
The main venue is the Kyuhoji Ryokuchi athletics stadium, where changing rooms and spectator seating are permanent, so family can cheer from the stands. Races are 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 30 km, with divisions for lower and upper elementary juniors, pre-schoolers and a parent-and-child relay.
