Singelcross

The Singelcross returns on January 31, 2027, offering runners an exciting challenge along the historic Singelwal and past the iconic cannons of Zaltbommel. This annual cross-country race has been a local favorite since its inception in 2012.
Participants can choose from three distances: 9.6 km, 6.4 km, or 3.2 km loops around the unmarked trail with slight elevation changes and technical terrain. The event uses chip timing for accurate results across all categories.
The main race starts at 11:00 AM for the longest distance, followed by shorter races every five minutes until the final 3.2 km loop begins at 11:10 AM.
For younger racers, a dedicated Kidscross event was added in 2015. This fun-filled run covers either one or two laps of 700 meters for children aged 6 to 12 years old. The race starts earlier than the main events at 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM.
Both races begin and end at the Kindertuin in Zaltbommel, near the intersection of Steenweg/Gamerschestraat close to La Provence restaurant. Free parking is available nearby on a large lot off Beersteeg.
Post-race refreshments include warm hot chocolate for all participants. Online registration opens now with deadlines by January 30th or sooner if maximum capacity is reached. Fees range from €10 to €12 based on the distance chosen, while Kidscross costs €5 per child.
