YRC Leftovers 5K

Yooper Running Company will be hosting the YRC Leftovers 5K run/walk on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 9am.  The race will start/finish near the Pullar Stadium Ice Arena entrance in downtown Sault Sainte Marie.  The address is 435 E Portage Avenue.  Packet pickup will be from 7:30am-8:45am inside the Pullar Ice Arena Lobby.  Indoor rest rooms will be available inside Pullar Stadium.

Registration Prices/Dates:

$15 ONLINE ONLY.  Leftover shirt options available for $8 (SS Navy Run 906) to $12 (LS Black Run 906) during ONLINE REGISTRATION.  Leftover shirts available for $10 to $15 CASH or Venmo on race day.  All shirts are leftover from earlier races in 2025. 

Early Packet Pickup: Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5-7pm.  LSSU Norris Center Lobby near the main entrance ticket booth area.  Receive $5 discount on adult hockey tickets for LSSU vs Minnesota State with proof of registration.  Good for Friday and Saturday games.  $2 youth tickets all weekend for the LSSU Hockey Games.  

Benefactors: We will be doing a food drive for those in need during the holiday times through Salvation Army.  Those who donate will receive a $5 coupon to use on a future YRC Race.

Course: The course will follow Portage Avenue East with River Views and many historical Sault Sainte Marie Landmarks along the route.  The turnaround will be a lollipop loop inside Aune-Osborn Campground.  Runners and walkers can use the bike lane which will be lined with cones along the course or the sidewalk.  The most efficient way to run it would be to use the bike lane against traffic flow on the way out and the side-walk on the way back.  

Parking: There is off-street parking near Pullar Stadium as well as a parking lot in the back.  The Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours parking lots are also available for overflow parking.  

Awards: All participants will receive a leftover medal of their choice from the 2025 race season.  Age group leftover mugs, tumblers, t-shirts, etc.

Weather: Weather during this time of the year will likely be within the historical average high of 42 degrees and low of 29 degrees.  Being a morning race, prepare for temps in the high 20s, lower to mid 30s for the race with a chance of snow!
