RegisterCome and participate in the beautiful run/walk near YMCA Camp Algonquin on Thanksgiving morning. Our 17th annual Turkey Trot includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 Mile Fun Run. As always, we will award the top male and female runners from Otto's Turkey Farm with their turkeys. Bring along your loved ones and enjoy a morning full of fun! WOBBLE BEFORE YOU GOBBLE!
Check-in Race/BIB Packet Pick up:
• Wednesday, November 26th, 4:00-7:00 PM at the YMCA of Barry County at 2350 Iroquois Trail (our new building)
• Race Day pick-up will be available from 7:00-8:00 AM at the YMCA of Barry County at 2350 Iroquois Trail (our new building)
• RACE DAY REGISTRATION will be available 7:00-8:00 AM (no t-shirt)
Race Start:
• 8:30 am Fun Run @ corner of Buehler Rd & Iroquois Trail
• 8:45 am 5K @ corner of Buehler Rd & Iroquois Trail
Race Day Parking:
ALCA Lodge, 2403 Iroquois Trail, & New Y Building, 2350 Iroquois Trail. Please follow instructions from the parking attendants. No public parking is available at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
5K Race Route:
Begins at Buehler Road, right on Woodruff Road, right on Hammond Road, right on Iroquois Trail, ends on the front lawn at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
1 Mile Fun Run Route:
Begins on Buehler Road, left on Iroquois Trail, goes past the camp to the turnaround sign, and ends on the front lawn at YMCA Camp Algonquin.
Contests/Prizes:
School Challenge:
Gather all the members of your school district and invite them to join you in a 5K run/walk! The school with the highest percentage of students participating in relation to its enrollment within the school system will be presented with the prestigious Turkey Trophy, which can be displayed at the school for the following year. The trophy will be awarded and announced in the week following Thanksgiving.
Give: On race day, all racers are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items. The Y will donate all items to the Barry County United Way. Donation tables will be in both parking lots.
End of Event:
Meet us on the front lawn of YMCA Camp Algonquin, 2055 Iroquois, after you finish for HOT COCOA, water, and giveaways!
