YMCA East Hampton RECenter 5K Run/Walk 2026

On September 27, 2026, the East Hampton Main Beach will come alive with runners and walkers participating in the YMCA East Hampton RECenter 5K Run/Walk. This popular community event offers participants an opportunity to experience a scenic route along the picturesque shoreline of Long Island's eastern tip.
The race starts promptly at 9AM rain or shine from Ocean Avenue, just steps away from the bustling Main Beach area. The course weaves through East Hampton’s vibrant coastal setting, allowing runners and walkers alike to enjoy stunning ocean views while traversing a mix of paved paths and sandy stretches along the beachfront.
Participants can expect an engaging atmosphere with enthusiastic supporters lining the route, adding energy and encouragement throughout the event. After crossing the finish line, participants will be greeted by post-race refreshments and awards ceremonies recognizing top male and female runners in various age categories.

These include races at Patchogue on April 19th, Huntington on May 3rd, Glen Cove on May 19th, Bay Shore on May 30th, culminating with East Hampton’s event in September.
