Safety Regulations and KOM Awards

A unique and critical safety regulation for this event is the Jeosuryeong descent speed limit. To ensure rider safety on the steep technical section, any participant exceeding an average speed of 40 km/h on the descent will be disqualified from all awards and prizes. For those looking to compete, the KOM (King of the Mountain) award recognizes the top male and female climbers with a special KOM Jersey and prizes, provided they adhere to the descent speed rules and complete the full course.

Event Schedule and Logistics

The event venue opens early at 6:00 AM for sponsor booth activities, with the official departure ceremony starting at 7:50 AM. Challenge A participants are grouped by their self-selected average speeds (A-1: 25+ km/h, A-2: <25 km/h, A-3: <20 km/h) to facilitate a smooth rollout. While the course features partial police control, riders are strictly obligated to follow the Road Traffic Act, including staying within the center line. The day concludes with a prize draw at 2:30 PM, followed by the official closing of the event at 3:00 PM.

Registration for the 2,000 available slots typically closes early due to high demand. Participants are provided with a souvenir and access to recovery vehicles, though riders are encouraged to secure personal injury and property insurance, as the organizer's liability insurance primarily covers third-party damages. Official participation rights are non-transferable unless managed directly through the organizer during the designated refund and change period in January.
