XXIII Dragoman

The IronDragon returns to the stunning landscapes of Bierzo for its 23rd edition, scheduled from November 27 to 29, 2026. This multi-discipline challenge features three distinct races that showcase the region's diverse terrain and rich history.
On Friday night, competitors gather in Villafranca del Bierzo for the DragonTrail Nocturna. A circular route of 6.5 kilometers with a challenging ascent of 260 meters takes runners through moonlit paths before returning to the Alameda Garden.
Saturday brings the main event, the DragonTrail, starting from Corullón's central square and winding its way up to the historic castle at the top of the hill. This grueling route spans 15.2 kilometers with a steep elevation gain of 755 meters, offering breathtaking views along the rugged trails.
The weekend concludes on Sunday with the Dragoman race, an 8.39-kilometer course that ascends to Villafranca's castle and then descends into the picturesque village of Dragonte. With nearly half a kilometer of elevation change, this final leg provides both beauty and challenge as runners complete their journey through Bierzo.
Each day promises unique experiences with scenic routes that highlight local landmarks and natural splendor, making IronDragon an unforgettable adventure for trail running enthusiasts.
