On September 26, 2026, the City of Soria and the Soriano Triathlon Club are proud to present the XL Half Marathon Ciudad de Soria - Abel Antón alongside the 5K Fermín Cacho Caja Rural race. Both events have received support and approval from the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (R.F.E.A.), the Soria Regional Delegation of Athletics, and the Castilla y León Athletics Federation.
The half marathon, a tribute to legendary athlete Abel Antón, will take runners through some of Soria's most iconic streets, starting at 5:50 PM. Participants can enjoy the city’s rich history as they race along scenic routes that showcase both modern architecture and historical landmarks. The course is designed with an emphasis on safety and spectator engagement, ensuring a memorable experience for all involved.
For those looking to participate in a shorter distance event, the 5K Fermín Cacho Caja Rural offers runners of all skill levels a chance to explore Soria's charming streets starting at 5:00 PM. The race is named after renowned athlete Fermín Cacho and includes flat terrain that makes it ideal for beginners or those seeking a quick run through the heart of this beautiful city.
Both races will commence and conclude in Plaza Mariano Granados, providing participants with an energetic start line surrounded by enthusiastic supporters and picturesque views of Soria's historic center.
