About the Event

The race is held around the lakeside of the Osagami flood control basin, a 39.5-hectare reservoir built for local river flood control, in Koshigaya Lake Town. A new half marathon joins the program this year on a flat, waterside course that suits first-time half marathoners as well as record seekers.
The other events are a 5 km race for junior high students and older, a family run of about 2.5 km for a parent aged 18 or over and a child aged 3 to elementary school, and an ekiden relay of four runners covering about 2.5 km each, with elementary school and open divisions. The half marathon starts at 9:20 and is open to those 18 and older, excluding high school students. The course uses lakeside paths and surrounding roads with few ups and downs, and other attractions are planned for the day.
