X - Wald Trail

The Xwald Trail 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting and finishing at the Centre Social Maroc (9 rue de Bourgogne, 57150 Creutzwald), France. Organized by Team Creutzwald in partnership with the City of Creutzwald, this 8th edition features two entirely forest-based trail courses: a 10.7 km discovery trail and a 22 km UTMB Index labelled race.

Event Logistics & Participant Information:

• Date & Schedule: Saturday, June 13, 2026. Participant welcome from 16:00. 22 km start at 17:00. 10.7 km start at 17:30. Prize ceremony around 20:00.
• Location: Start, finish, bib collection, and prize ceremony at Centre Social Maroc (9 rue de Bourgogne, Creutzwald). Parking available on-site.
• Registration: Online via GoTiming platform from February 15, 2026, until Friday, June 12, 2026, at 17:00. On-site registration also available (limited to 500 total bibs across both races).
• Age Requirements: 16 years or older for 10.7 km. 18 years or older for 22 km. Minors must provide parental authorization (available on race day).
• Medical Requirements: Licensed FFA athletes present valid license. Non-licensed athletes must provide a medical certificate of no contraindication for competitive running or valid PPS (Prévention Santé) proof.
• Bib Collection: On race day at the start area. Bib must be worn visibly at the front at all times.
• Timing: Chip timing provided by GoTiming.
• Cut-off & Time Barriers: Event ends at 20:15. 22 km has a barrier at the 9 km point at 18:20. Runners arriving after 18:20 will be redirected to the 11 km course.
• Mandatory & Recommended Gear: Appropriate trail footwear and weather-adapted clothing required. Fully charged mobile phone with emergency numbers strongly recommended.
• No Refund Policy: No refunds for any reason except event cancellation by organizer. No bib transfers permitted.
• Aid Stations: Refreshment points provided. Runners must bring their own containers (flasks or eco-cups) — no plastic cups provided. Private assistance not permitted.
• Medical Support: Medical team and emergency services present throughout the event.
• Restoration: Food and drink available on site (sausages, beverages, cakes, etc.).

• Finisher Pack: Includes arrival refreshment, on-course refreshment, medical assistance, and chip bib.
• Collector Gift: Pair of runnek collector cuffs offered to the first 300 registered participants.
• Awards: Top 3 male and female finishers (scratch) for both the 10.7 km and 22 km courses.
• Course Environment: 100% forest trails and paths. Designed for nature running.
• UTMB Index: The 22 km race is UTMB Index labelled (20 km category), allowing index updates per label rules.
• Border Trail Series: The 22 km is part of the new Border Trail Series challenge, alongside Spit'Trail (May 23, L'Hôpital) and PTRS (July 4, Merten).

• Environmental Responsibility: Throwing waste in forest or public areas is strictly forbidden. Violation leads to disqualification.
