About the Event

The Wrightstown Neon Night Run returns to Wrightstown, Wisconsin on Thursday, June 18th. The event kicks off with a unique twist that combines the thrill of running under the stars with a vibrant glow-in-the-dark atmosphere. Participants will gather at the WHS football stadium for race packet pick-up and late registration starting just after sunset.
Race morning in Wrightstown brings cool breezes typical of early June evenings, making it an inviting time to lace up your shoes. The race itself is set along firm but slightly soft trails that wind through the community park, providing a challenging yet manageable terrain ideal for both experienced runners and newcomers alike. As night falls, participants will experience the neon glow from t-shirts and bracelets as they navigate the course.
The Wrightstown Neon Night Run has been an annual tradition since its inception in 2015, drawing hundreds of runners each year to celebrate community spirit through physical activity. The event supports local scholarships for high school students, adding a meaningful dimension that makes it more than just another race—it's a night where everyone from young kids to adults can come together under the stars.
Course and conditions will see participants traverse 2.5 miles (4K) of firm but slightly soft trails that are well-lit by strategically placed neon lights along the route. The start and finish line is located at the WHS football stadium, which also serves as a central point for aid stations offering water and glow sticks to keep runners energized throughout their journey.
Weather on race day will be characterized by cool evening temperatures around 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit with high UV index levels of Very High. Runners should dress in layers and wear sunscreen or reflective gear, ensuring they stay visible under the moonlight.
