WRCC - Mangaroa Cup Handicap Road Race

About the Event

Join the Mangaroa Valley for an exhilarating 47k race that marks the conclusion of the Handicap Road Race series. The course winds through two laps, featuring sharp turns known as "hot-dog" corners and rolling terrain to challenge even the most seasoned cyclists. After crossing the finish line outside Mangaroa School on Flux Rd in Upper Hutt, stick around for a casual gathering with tea, coffee, biscuits, and prizes handed out at 10:30 AM.
Registration is required online by 8:30 AM on race day or earlier to secure your spot. Entry fees are waived for Wellington Road Cycling Club members ($20 for affiliated clubs, $40 for others). Junior riders aged 16-18 should enter based on their skill level and can contact [email protected] if unsure.
Meet at Mangaroa School's parking area and registration desk from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM. The first group will depart at 9:00 AM, with subsequent starts determined by the handicap system applied based on entries received by Saturday at 3 PM. Be sure to review the waiver before completing your entry; it confirms acceptance of our terms and conditions.
For more details or inquiries, visit the Wellington Road Cycling Club website or email [email protected]. This event is managed using Barefoot Sport's race registration and timing software for a seamless experience.
