Wold Rangers Way Ultra

The Wolds Rangers Way Ultra 2026 is a 50 km circular endurance race scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026. Starting and finishing at the Field House Camping & Coffee Barn in Tibthorpe, the route showcases the unique topography of the Yorkshire Wolds, specifically its signature dry valleys and rolling chalk hills. The event is organized by Ultra Trails and follows the historic Wold Rangers Way, passing through several traditional villages. The race is designed with an eco-conscious ethos, offering sustainable medal options and donating a portion of every entry fee to local charitable organizations.

Tibthorpe is a small hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, located within the Driffield area, which has a regional population of approximately 13,000 residents. Spring in the Wolds can be breezy, and runners should be prepared for exposed ridge lines where wind speeds may increase.

Participants must be at least 20 years old to enter. The event provides robust support, including medical first aid and a non-returnable food drop-bag option at the main checkpoint. While the route is marked with yellow tape and correx signs at major junctions, runners are provided with a GPX file and are encouraged to utilize OS navigation via OpenTracking. Registration for the 2026 edition closes on April 12, or once the entry limit of 201 participants is reached. Finishers are rewarded with cake and tea, and podium finishers in the female and open classes receive trophies reclaimed from authentic Wolds waymark posts.
