About the Event

Join us for our 3rd Annual Wobble Down Front 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run on Thanksgiving Day. This is a Turkey Trot like no other!

The race takes runners(and walkers) down historic Beaufort's beautiful waterfront and concludes in the center of town with an award ceremony and festive celebration. Due to our event participation growing each year, we are excited to announce that this year's race will be electronically timed and recorded. We will be bringing back our DJ entertainment and a live singing of the national anthem.

All proceeds from the race directly benefits the students at Beaufort Elementary School and Beaufort Middle School.

Beaufort is the easternmost town in the Crystal Coast region of North Carolina; the county seat; and the third-oldest town in the state. Established in 1713 on the Newport River, Beaufort was named after Henry Somerset, the Duke of Beaufort. Beaufort's two main claims to fame are its intact historical homes and its connection with the dreaded pirate Blackbeard. The town's name is pronounced differently than that of its South Carolina namesake; this Beaufort is "BO-furt".
