Wicked Worm

Robinette's Apple Haus. Grand Rapids, Michigan. One of the most technical trail systems in West Michigan. The Wicked Worm returns on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Choose 12 hours, 6 hours, or a 10k. The 4.2‑mile loop winds through the orchard and sections 1 & 3 of the West Michigan Trail Run (WMTR) course. 12‑hour racers can pick up a pacer after 4:00 PM. Breakfast served after the 10k. Camping chairs, canopies, and coolers welcome — park right along the course. Cap of 50 runners per timed event.

Location — Robinette's Apple Haus:

• Robinette's Apple Haus is a historic family‑owned orchard and bakery in Grand Rapids, Michigan
• Known for apple orchards, cider, donuts, and a network of technical, rooty, twisty singletrack trails
• "Wicked Worm" is fitting — the trails will test your footing, balance, and patience
• Parking available along the race course — set up a chair, canopy, blanket, or cooler right next to the action

Course — 4.2‑Mile Loop:

• 12‑hour and 6‑hour runners complete as many 4.2‑mile loops as possible within their time limit
• Loop includes sections 1 & 3 of the WMTR course plus orchard trails
• Technical terrain — roots, rocks, tight turns, short climbs, and uneven footing
• 10k runners complete the full WMTR course (no loop format)

Pacers (12‑Hour Only):

• Pacers allowed for 12‑hour racers starting at 4:00 PM
• Each runner allowed only one pacer at a time
• All pacers must check in and out at the main aid station and sign the Robinette's waiver

What's Included:

• Breakfast served for racers after the 10k race
• Aid station at start/finish (main aid station) with water, electrolyte, and typical ultra snacks
• Medical support on site

Swag Deadline:

• Racers registering after June 3, 2026 may not receive race swag (based on availability)
• You may donate your swag fee to No Surrender Running Club (nonprofit partner)

Schedule (Saturday, June 20, 2026):

• 6:15 AM — Packet pickup opens (race day only)
• 7:30 AM — 10k start
• 8:00 AM — 12 Hour and 6 Hour start
• 1:45 PM — 6‑hour racers must start last lap
• 4:00 PM — Pacers allowed for 12‑hour racers
• 7:45 PM — 12‑hour racers must start last loop

Registration & Changes:

• Registration closes Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 7:45 AM ET (race morning)
• No refunds
• Change race distance to a different open distance or transfer your entry to another participant before Wednesday, June 19, 2026
• Defer your entry with 50% credit to the 2027 event — must request at least 30 days prior to the event
• All edits done through your UltraSignup account

Logistics:

• Park along the race course — bring chairs, canopy, blanket, cooler with your own food/drinks
• Main aid station available for water and basic supplies
• Portable toilets on site
• No dogs allowed on course (orchard policy)
• No strollers on technical terrain
