Chase a personal best on a historic California trail at the Western Pacific races in Fremont on Saturday, 28 March 2026. Organized by Brazen Racing, this event offers a choice of three flat and fast distances—Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K—perfect for setting new records or enjoying a scenic run. The courses start and finish at Quarry Lakes, following the Alameda Creek Trail along the historic Western Pacific railroad grade, once used to build the Transcontinental Railroad. Runners will travel on mostly dirt and gravel fire trails with a short paved section, providing a unique off-road experience that’s still ideal for speed. With pace groups available, free race photos, and a welcoming atmosphere for hikers and runners of all levels, it’s a fantastic community event. All aboard for a memorable spring race where California history and running ambition meet on a fast track to the finish line.
