Westcountry Ultra

The Westcountry Ultra marks its 10th anniversary in 2026, celebrating a decade of endurance racing through the scenic landscapes of West Somerset. Organized by Albion Running, the event is uniquely structured into three distinct challenges: the Flat 50, the Hilly 50, and the premier 100-miler. The races are designed to showcase the region's diverse geography, ranging from tranquil canal-side paths to the rugged, dramatic cliffs of the Somerset coastline. Known for its grassroots atmosphere and "hero's welcome" at every aid station, the event concludes at West Somerset College, providing a spacious indoor hall for post-race recovery.

West Somerset is a largely rural district in the county of Somerset, England, with a population of approximately 35,000 residents. The area is characterized by its coastal towns like Minehead and its proximity to Exmoor National Park. The demographic profile is approximately 97.6% White, 0.8% Mixed, 0.7% Asian, and 0.2% Black.
