Wellington Swim-Run 2026

The Wellington Swim-Run Challenge offers an exhilarating blend of aquatic adventure and trail running, set to take place the Sunday following the Castle 2.5/5/10K race. Participants can look forward to three laps around a scenic course that alternates between swimming in clear waters and running along picturesque trails.
This unique event is designed for swimmers looking for one last dip before winter sets in as well as runners who want to enjoy a fun challenge after an evening of stargazing under the stars at camp. The 5K race allows competitors to utilize any non-motorized aids they see fit, including buoys, paddles, wetsuits, and snorkels for swimming segments, and shoes or other accessories during running portions.
The event encourages creativity in gear choices while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere where participants can enjoy the camaraderie of fellow athletes. Camping is available on Friday night (August 21) and Saturday night (August 22), providing an opportunity to extend your weekend adventure with friends and family.
Registration for the race will close once we reach our parking capacity limit, which caps at 200 participants. Early registration ends March 15th when full prices go into effect. T-shirt availability is not guaranteed after this date as production quantities are limited based on early sign-ups.
Race day packets can be picked up in the morning of the event; organizers recommend arriving early to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth start to your race experience. Camp sites accommodate only one vehicle with four people, excluding RVs, trailers, teardrop campers.
