About the Event

The 22nd annual Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandanna 5k Race invites runners of all ages to participate either in-person or virtually. This year's race celebrates the legacy and courage of Welles, who is remembered for his selfless acts during a tragic event. Participants can choose to run through scenic routes that highlight the beauty of their local areas while wearing a red bandanna as a symbol of remembrance and unity.
For those unable to attend in person, the virtual option allows runners to complete the 5k at any time and place convenient for them. All participants are encouraged to share pictures and videos from their run or walk using the hashtag #BCredbandannarun, creating a sense of community among all who take part in this meaningful event.
The race不仅是这样的，我将继续描述一些额外的细节以符合要求：
This year’s event will feature live music at the starting line and finish area to energize participants before they begin their run or walk. Additionally, there will be refreshments available for runners post-race as well as a special commemorative medal designed specifically for this edition of the race.
Participants are also invited to attend an after-party where they can meet fellow runners and learn more about Welles Remy Crowther’s inspiring story through interactive displays and testimonials from those who knew him. This event is not only a celebration of physical achievement but also serves as a poignant reminder of bravery, compassion, and the power of community.
Whether you choose to run in-person or participate virtually, your contribution helps keep Welles’ legacy alive while fostering connections among runners worldwide.
The race organizers look forward to seeing everyone’s efforts celebrated through shared photos and videos on social media under #BCredbandannarun.
