Celebrate Thanksgiving Morning at the Waynesboro Family YMCA!

Join your friends and neighbors for Thanksgiving morning fun at the Waynesboro Family YMCA! For more than 72 years, the Y has grown and adapted to meet the changing needs of our community. Throughout the years, we’ve continued to evolve our programs and focus to do what we do best — lead with purpose and strengthen community connections. Because at the Y, we’re more than just a gym — we’re a place where community grows.

START TIMES:
8:15am- Gobbler 1 Mile (Kids' event ages 3-10)

9:00am - 5k Run & Walk START

VIRTUAL 5k - RACE ANYWHERE / ANYTIME - NOVEMBER 27th THRU December 1st

ENTRY FEE:  (Registration closes for all events Wednesday, November 26th at 7:00pm) - NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP

Gobbler 1 Mile (3-10 years old):  
$15 /  Add a shirt for an additional $10.00 || NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP

5k Run & Walk
$30 (thru Nov. 6th) || $35 (Nov. 7 - Nov. 17) ||  $40 (Nov. 18 - Nov. 26th 7:00pm) || NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP

5K Run & Walk (Youth 5-12 years old)
$15 /  Add a shirt for an additional $10.00 || NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP

VIRTUAL 5K Run & Walk
$30 (thru Nov. 16th) || $35 (Nov. 18 - Nov. 26) ||  NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP

Registration fees are non-transferable & non-refundable.
An entry can only be used for the person registered for the entry.
Entries cannot be deferred to the following year or a future event.
If the event is cancelled due to weather participants will be moved to the virtual event.

IMMEDIATE FAMILY PRICING:
Save $2.00 per entry when registering a family of 4 or more immediate family members. Please select this option when registering. Available for all events thru Wednesday, November 26th. This discount cannot be applied retroactively. Discounts will not be applied to those already registered.

PAPER REGISTRATION: 
Not available

T-SHIRTS: 
Participants registered on or before Thursday, November 6th, are guaranteed a race shirt. A limited number of extra shirts will be available on a first-come basis at packet pickup.
Please note that shirts for the Youth 5K and Gobbler 1 Mile are available for an additional fee of $10.00

PACKET PICKUP:
(Waynesboro Family YMCA) NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP
Tuesday, November 25th, 4-7pm
Wednesday, November 26th, 4-7pm 
RACE DAY, November 27th, (NO PACKET PICKUP OR RACE DAY REGISTRATION)

CAN I HAVE MY PACKET MAILED TO ME?
We are happy to mail packets to our Virtual 5k participants only. There is an additional fee of $15.00. This mailing option can be selected during registration and is available to those virtual 5k participants registered by Sunday, November 16th.

STROLLERS, DOGS & PETS:
We respectfully ask that for the safety of the event that pets and strollers line up in the back of the start.

HYDRATION:
Refreshments are available at the finish of each event. There is not a water stop on course. Whet your whistle with Tropical Smoothie samples when you cross the finish line! 

TIMING & RESULTS:
All events will be timed for place. The 5k run and walk will use My Laps disposable bib tag timing. This tag can be found on the back of your bib number.  

AWARDS:
Gobble Wobble 1 Mile finishers receive a FINISHER MEDAL. 

5K Awards will be given to Top 3 Overall Male and Female, Top Master Male and Female, and top 5 in each age group (Medal to first place and ribbons 2nd -5th)

Please note:  An awards table will be available following the event for winners to pick up their age group award. We will recognize our overall award winners during a brief closing ceremony. Awards will not be mailed.

Gobble Wobble 1 Mile will award a stuffed turkey (yep, it's a stuffed animal NOT suitable for roasting) to our top Overall Boy and Girl.

There are no awards given for our virtual event.

VIRTUAL 5k RESULTS:
1.  COMPLETE YOUR EVENT, anywhere in the world, Thursday November 27th thru Sunday December 1st.
2.  UPLOAD YOUR RESULTS.
3.  RECEIVE A FINISHER MEDAL!

Participants will have the ability to upload their result and/or participation, directly to our RunSignUp Results page or by text message.

Those participating in the Virtual 5K can race from anywhere at any time between Thursday, November 27th and Monday, December 1st. Results are reported by the virtual participant to our Leader Board using RunSignUp. We are happy to mail your packet to you for an additional fee of $15.00. This mailing option can be selected during registration and is available to those registered by Friday, November 14th.

RACE NUMBERS SHOULD BE WORN ON THE FRONT OF YOUR SHIRT OR JACKET AND VISIBLE THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.
