Waterford Bicycle Classic 2026 - Premier Gravel Event for Doing Good
About the Event
Join us for the 2nd Annual Waterford Bicycle Classic, an unparalleled gravel cycling adventure through Northern Loudoun County’s picturesque farmland and ancient forests. This year's event promises to be even more exceptional, building on last year’s success with a new route option: the challenging 100-mile "Growler" century ride. The event is hosted at Wheatland Spring Farm & Brewery, an award-winning venue that offers much more than just a starting point. It serves as the heart of this community-focused gathering, where cyclists can enjoy not only the ride but also the camaraderie and shared passion for preserving historic Waterford through our nonprofit partner, the Waterford Bicycle Club. Our meticulously crafted routes cater to all levels of riders: - The "Half Pint" (20 miles): A relaxed and scenic route suitable for everyone. - The "Pint" (40 miles): Balanced between athleticism and social enjoyment. - The "Stein" (60 miles): A true test on the rougher terrain, designed to challenge even seasoned gravel riders. This year’s addition is the “Growler” (100 miles), a full-century ride for those seeking an extra dose of adventure. It offers one of the few organized century rides in the area and promises a rewarding journey through some of Loudoun County's most stunning scenery. Loudoun County boasts exceptional gravel riding conditions, with quiet roads winding through historic landscapes. The 40-, 60- and 100-mile routes feature meaningful elevation changes that keep riders engaged throughout their ride. Our event is fully supported to ensure a seamless experience: - Clearly marked courses for easy navigation. - Fully stocked aid stations staffed by dedicated volunteers. - SAG vehicle support available if needed, ensuring safety at all times. - Comprehensive communication leading up to the event so you can plan accordingly. The day begins and concludes at Wheatland Spring Farm & Brewery. After completing your ride, stay to unwind with a selection of craft beers brewed on-site—a perfect way to celebrate your accomplishment in style. Experience more than just a race; experience community, challenge, and beauty all rolled into one unforgettable event.
