Waterford Athletic Club Half Marathon 2026

Waterford City hosts runners from across Ireland and beyond for an unforgettable race experience that showcases both speed and scenic beauty. The course winds through open roads, offering participants stunning views of the cityscape and its vibrant energy. A notable highlight is a section along the Waterford Greenway, where runners can enjoy a peaceful stretch amidst natural surroundings before returning to the bustling streets.
In previous years, this event has seen impressive performances, with Ryan Creech from Leevale AC setting a men's winning time of 65:08 in 2025 and Nichola Sheridan from Bohermeen AC achieving an equally remarkable women’s victory at 1:17:20. As runners prepare for the 2026 edition on November 28, anticipation builds around who will claim this year's top spots.
The race is celebrated not just for its competitive edge but also for the warm and welcoming atmosphere provided by Waterford Athletic Club, ensuring that both elite athletes and recreational runners feel supported throughout their journey.
