Embrace the ultimate test of human endurance at the 2026 Water Love Nakdong River 200km Ultramarathon, an officially KUMF-certified race starting on Friday, June 5, 2026. This is not a standard road race; it is a grueling "Unsupported Survival" event where participants are responsible for their own navigation, pacing, and logistics. Departing from the Eulsukdo Water Resources Corporation in Busan at 9:00 PM, runners face a massive 200.1km loop through the rugged terrain of Mucheoksan, Miryang Dam, and the Seoknam Tunnel, with a demanding 37-hour time limit to reach the finish line.
The competition offers two distinct challenges: the premier 200km Ultra and a high-intensity 100km course. To ensure safety and elite standards, participants must meet strict eligibility requirements, including having completed a 100km race within the last two years for the full distance, or a full marathon for the 100km distance. As a true survival race, specific equipment is mandatory—including headlamps, safety lights, windbreakers, and emergency blankets. Failure to carry these items results in unconditional disqualification, underscoring the organizers' commitment to the "self-fix" philosophy of the Korea Ultramarathon Federation.
Registration for this legendary challenge is open from February 3 to April 30, 2026. While the race is unsupported, the host (Busan Branch of KUMF) provides essential meals at specific Checkpoints (47km, 101.7km, and 143.8km) and shower facilities at the 100km mark and the final finish line. Finishers of the 200km distance receive a prestigious handwritten record certificate, a finisher's medal, and a commemorative T-shirt. For those who demonstrate long-term mastery by completing the 200km race ten times, a special Hall of Fame plaque is awarded. Secure your entry to join an elite international community of ultrarunners on the banks of the Nakdong River.
