Organized by the City of Watauga Parks & Community Services Department, this Halloween-themed event is a delightful way for runners and walkers of all ages to kick off their spooky season festivities. Participants can choose between two events: the professionally timed 5K Run or the family-friendly 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk. Both options promise an engaging morning filled with festive activities and community spirit. Costumes are highly encouraged, so don your spookiest getup and join fellow participants for a thrilling start to October. Registration fees vary based on age group and timing of enrollment: - Early registration (through October 5) offers discounts: $20 for ages 17 and younger and $25 for adults in the 5K Run; $10 for children and $15 for adults in the Fun Run/Walk. - Late registrations from October 6 onwards will cost slightly more, at $25 for youth and $30 for adults in the 5K, while the Fun Run/Walk increases to $15 for kids and $20 for adults.
