Warrior Spirit 5K Run/Walk & Family Festival

On February 6, 2027, the Mitchell Thorp Foundation will once again host its Warrior Spirit 5K Run/Walk & Family Festival at Carlsbad's picturesque Poinsettia Park. This annual event celebrates resilience and community support for families whose children are facing cancer, rare diseases, and critical medical conditions.
Participants of all ages can lace up their running shoes or opt to walk the scenic route through Poinsettia Park’s lush trails and open spaces. The 5K course is designed with flat terrain that accommodates runners and walkers alike, making it an accessible event for everyone who wants to contribute to a good cause.
The day will be filled with activities beyond just the race, including music performances, interactive children's zones, and information booths from local healthcare providers offering resources and support. The family-friendly festival atmosphere encourages community engagement and raises awareness about the challenges faced by families dealing with serious medical issues.
Join runners, volunteers, and supporters in a heartwarming event that combines physical activity with heartfelt dedication to helping those who need it most.
The Warrior Spirit 5K is more than just a race; it's an inspiring celebration of hope and unity.
