Waingels Woodley Run Fest

The Waingels PTA is thrilled to present an exciting community-run event in collaboration with Barnes Fitness. This initiative follows their successful organization of previous races like the Woodley 10km and Kids Fun Run, now bringing a variety of distances for runners of all ages.
Choose from three engaging race options:
- A fun-filled 2km kids run designed specifically for children aged 4 to 11 (sponsored by USports)
- The moderately challenging 5km course, open to participants aged 11 and above
- For those seeking a more rigorous challenge, the 10km route is available to runners aged 15 and older
All races start and finish within the vibrant school grounds of Waingels Secondary School in Woodley. The event promises an atmosphere brimming with activities and refreshments for participants and spectators alike.
Barnes Fitness ensures a high-standard experience, featuring:
- Accurate chip timing that provides instant results
- Engaging and well-informed marshals to guide you along the way
- Clearly marked courses so runners can stay on track without confusion
- A commemorative metal medal awarded upon completion of your chosen distance
- Event awards for podium finishers as well as age group winners
Waingels PTA, a dedicated body run by parent and teacher volunteers, aims to enhance school life through various events and fundraising activities. Their efforts support the students, families, and staff at Waingels Secondary School, fostering community spirit and enriching educational experiences.
