Wagfest Leashes and Laces 2 Mile Walk/Run

Grab your sneakers, leash up your best friend and join us for the inaugural Wagfest Leashes and Laces 2-Mile Walk/Run on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00pm!

The race will begin and end at Wagfest at Market Station in Albemarle, following the scenic Roger F. Snyder Greenway for a fun, family-friendly 2-mile course. Whether you're a seasoned runner, casual walker or simply looking for a great way to spend the afternoon with your pup, this event is for you!  This is a non-timed event.

Choose your division:

2-Legs Division: Register yourself and receive an official event T-shirt.

6-Legs Division: Bring your furry pal! Registration includes an official race T-shirt for you and a commemorative bandana for your 4-legged teammate.

After crossing the finish line, stick around and enjoy everything Wagfest has to offer, including pup cups, food vendors, games, live music, shopping and plenty of dog-friendly fun!

**All proceeds benefit the Stanly County Humane Society, helping local animals find the loving homes they deserve.
