VII Carrera contra la violencia de género - Corre Para Pararlo

On November 29, 2026, the community of Southwest Madrid will host its seventh annual Solidarity Race Against Gender Violence. This significant event aims to raise awareness and support for victims of gender-based violence on an international day dedicated to eliminating such atrocities.
The race takes place in Torrejón de la Calzada, a picturesque town where participants can join either the 5k adult course or the shorter children's circuit designed for young runners. The event offers a safe space for individuals and families alike who wish to show their solidarity against gender violence through athletic participation.
Registration will remain open until November 12th, allowing ample time for interested runners to secure their spots in this meaningful cause. On race day, participants gather at the Plaza de España by 9:30 AM to collect necessary materials including numbered bibs and event t-shirts before heading off on their respective courses.
The main adult race kicks off promptly at 10:00 AM from the same plaza, followed shortly after by a fun run for children covering a distance of just over half a mile. Both races are designed not only to foster community spirit but also to promote physical activity among all age groups.
Post-race activities include a chocolate breakfast and an energetic Color Party where participants can enjoy being showered with colored powder as part of the celebration. At 12:15 PM, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a stretching class led by local fitness instructors, providing additional health benefits alongside the day's main event.
The Polideportivo Municipal de Torrejón de la Calzada serves as the central hub for race logistics and participant services. Here, runners can pick up their bibs and commemorative t-shirts from 10 AM to 4 PM on November 28th or right at dawn on race day starting at 8:30 AM.
By participating in this event, individuals agree to allow the organizers (Mancomunidad de Servicios del Suroeste de Madrid) to use their images captured during the race for promotional purposes across various media platforms. This includes social networks, video clips, and print publications aimed at raising awareness about gender violence issues throughout Spain and beyond.
The 5k course winds through scenic routes within Torrejón de la Calzada, offering runners a pleasant experience while highlighting the town's charm and cultural significance.
