The GAF (Groupe d'Animations de Fleurigné) is hosting two exciting Vetathlon events on Sunday, November 15th, starting at 10:00 AM. These races offer participants the chance to challenge themselves both on foot and by bike in a scenic setting around Fleurigné. The competitive Vétathlon Sportif event features a trail run of 10 kilometers over three laps of approximately 3.3 km each, followed by an intense mountain biking segment covering 20 kilometers through four loops of roughly 4.9 km apiece. This race is fully timed and ranked, providing athletes with the opportunity to showcase their skills in both disciplines. For those looking for a more relaxed experience, the Vétathlon Plaisir offers participants a fun-filled day without the pressure of timing or rankings. The event includes two options: an individual run-and-bike course along the mountain biking route used in the competitive Vetathlon Sportif, and team events where pairs can tackle the trail together before switching to cycling. The entry fee for the Vétathlon Sportif is €12 for solo participants aged 18 or older. For duo teams with at least one member being 16 years old (with parental authorization) and both having valid licenses—one athletic license for running and a bicycle license for mountain biking—the cost is €24 per team. Registration closes on November 14th at 3:00 PM, so be sure to sign up early. The Vétathlon Plaisir costs just €7 per participant, with no charge for those under 14 years old and allows flexibility in completing the course as desired. This event is open to individuals or teams of two to six members. The day's activities are centered around a picturesque trail that winds through Fleurigné’s natural beauty.
