Vasaloppet China History
The event was introduced to China in 2003 at Changchun Jingyuetan National Key Scenic Spot, chosen for its environment similar to Northern Europe.
Organized by the Chinese Ski Association, Vasaloppet Sweden Organizing Committee, Changchun City Government, and Nordic Ways (formerly PWT Orienteering Sports Organization).
China became the fourth country to host Vasaloppet after Sweden, the USA, and Japan.
The festival spans three months, combining skiing competitions, tourism, cultural events, and economic exchanges, showcasing both Chinese and Western culture.
