[Un]leash the Fun 5k Run and 2k Walk

Let's get this park party started! The [Un]leash the Fun 5k run and 2k walk is happening for two reasons. First, we need a dog park, and Duncansville has the spot. This park will be a wooded, leash-free area where you and your pup can make friends and run free. No membership fees required! The second reason is to raise awareness about canine chronic kidney disease. Beau (pup in the picture) was only 5 years old when he lost his life to kidney disease which broke the hearts of all who knew him. Chronic kidney disease is one of the leading causes of death in dogs. While there is no cure, early detection is paramount in treating the disease and lengthening your dog’s lifespan. Through this race, I hope to provide a safe, fun, free place for local dogs to run and play and to make owners aware of the symptoms of CKD, how to test for it, and how to advocate for their dogs. All proceeds from the race go directly to the dog park and signage about Beau's story. The race will start at Duncansville Memorial Park and continue through the borough. 

Last day to register and get a t-shirt is 06/02/26 so sign up today!! There will be a limited number of packets without a t-shirt on the day of the race.
